Galatians 1
1 पौलुस की, जो न मनुष्यों की ओर से, और न मनुष्य के द्वारा, वरन यीशु मसीह और परमेश्वर पिता के द्वारा, जिस ने उस को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया, प्रेरित है।
2 और सारे भाइयों की ओर से, जो मेरे साथ हैं; गलतिया की कलीसियाओं के नाम।
3 परमेश्वर पिता, और हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से तुम्हें अनुग्रह और शान्ति मिलती रहे।
4 उसी ने अपने आप को हमारे पापों के लिये दे दिया, ताकि हमारे परमेश्वर और पिता की इच्छा के अनुसार हमें इस वर्तमान बुरे संसार से छुड़ाए।
5 उस की स्तुति और बड़ाई युगानुयुग होती रहे। आमीन॥
6 मुझे आश्चर्य होता है, कि जिस ने तुम्हें मसीह के अनुग्रह से बुलाया उस से तुम इतनी जल्दी फिर कर और ही प्रकार के सुसमाचार की ओर झुकने लगे।
7 परन्तु वह दूसरा सुसमाचार है ही नहीं: पर बात यह है, कि कितने ऐसे हैं, जो तुम्हें घबरा देते, और मसीह के सुसमाचार को बिगाड़ना चाहते हैं।
8 परन्तु यदि हम या स्वर्ग से कोई दूत भी उस सुसमाचार को छोड़ जो हम ने तुम को सुनाया है, कोई और सुसमाचार तुम्हें सुनाए, तो श्रापित हो।
9 जैसा हम पहिले कह चुके हैं, वैसा ही मैं अब फिर कहता हूं, कि उस सुसमाचार को छोड़ जिसे तुम ने ग्रहण किया है, यदि कोई और सुसमाचार सुनाता है, तो श्रापित हो। अब मैं क्या मनुष्यों को मनाता हूं या परमेश्वर को? क्या मैं मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करना चाहता हूं?
10 यदि मैं अब तक मनुष्यों को ही प्रसन्न करता रहता, तो मसीह का दास न होता॥
11 हे भाइयो, मैं तुम्हें जताए देता हूं, कि जो सुसमाचार मैं ने सुनाया है, वह मनुष्य का सा नहीं।
12 क्योंकि वह मुझे मनुष्य की ओर से नहीं पहुंचा, और न मुझे सिखाया गया, पर यीशु मसीह के प्रकाश से मिला।
13 यहूदी मत में जो पहिले मेरा चाल चलन था, तुम सुन चुके हो; कि मैं परमेश्वर की कलीसिया को बहुत ही सताता और नाश करता था।
14 और अपने बहुत से जाति वालों से जो मेरी अवस्था के थे यहूदी मत में बढ़ता जाता था और अपने बाप दादों के व्यवहारों में बहुत ही उत्तेजित था।
15 परन्तु परमेश्वर की, जिस ने मेरी माता के गर्भ ही से मुझे ठहराया और अपने अनुग्रह से बुला लिया,
16 जब इच्छा हुई, कि मुझ में अपने पुत्र को प्रगट करे कि मैं अन्यजातियों में उसका सुसमाचार सुनाऊं; तो न मैं ने मांस और लोहू से सलाह ली;
17 और न यरूशलेम को उन के पास गया जो मुझ से पहिले प्रेरित थे, पर तुरन्त अरब को चला गया: और फिर वहां से दमिश्क को लौट आया॥
18 फिर तीन बरस के बाद मैं कैफा से भेंट करने के लिये यरूशलेम को गया, और उसके पास पन्द्रह दिन तक रहा।
19 परन्तु प्रभु के भाई याकूब को छोड़ और प्रेरितों में से किसी से न मिला।
20 जो बातें मैं तुम्हें लिखता हूं, देखो परमेश्वर को उपस्थित जानकर कहता हूं, कि वे झूठी नहीं।
21 इस के बाद मैं सूरिया और किलिकिया के देशों में आया।
22 परन्तु यहूदिया की कलीसियाओं ने जो मसीह में थी, मेरा मुँह तो कभी नहीं देखा था।
23 परन्तु यही सुना करती थीं, कि जो हमें पहिले सताता था, वह अब उसी धर्म का सुसमाचार सुनाता है, जिसे पहिले नाश करता था।
24 और मेरे विषय में परमेश्वर की महिमा करती थीं॥
1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
24 And they glorified God in me.
Proverbs 25 in Tamil and English
1 யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவின் மனுஷர் பேர்த்தெழுதின சாலொமோனுடைய நீதிமொழிகள்:
These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
2 காரியத்தை மறைப்பது தேவனுக்கு மேன்மை; காரியத்தை ஆராய்வதோ ராஜாக்களுக்கு மேன்மை.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
3 வானத்தின் உயரமும், பூமியின் ஆழமும், ராஜாக்களின் இருதயங்களும் ஆராய்ந்துமுடியாது.
The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
4 வெள்ளியினின்று களிம்பை நீக்கிவிடு, அப்பொழுது தட்டானால் நல்ல உடைமை பிறக்கும்.
Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
5 ராஜாவின் முன்னின்று துஷ்டரை நீக்கிவிடு, அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய சிங்காசனம் நீதியினால் நிலைநிற்கும்.
Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
6 ராஜாவின் சமுகத்தில் மேன்மைபாராட்டாதே; பெரியோர்களுடைய ஸ்தானத்தில் நில்லாதே.
Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
7 உன் கண்கள் கண்ட பிரபுவின் சமுகத்தில் நீ தாழ்த்தப்படுவது நல்லதல்ல; அவன் உன்னைப் பார்த்து: மேலே வா என்று சொல்வதே உனக்கு மேன்மை.
For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.
8 வழக்காடப் பதற்றமாய்ப் போகாதே; முடிவிலே உன் அயலான் உன்னை வெட்கப்படுத்தும்போது, நீ என்ன செய்யலாம் என்று திகைப்பாயே.
Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
9 நீ உன் அயலானுடனே மாத்திரம் உன் வியாஜ்யத்தைக்குறித்து வழக்காடு, மற்றவனிடத்தில் இரகசியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தாதே.
Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another:
10 மற்றப்படி அதைக் கேட்கிறவன் உன்னை நிந்திப்பான்; உன் அவமானம் உன்னைவிட்டு நீங்காது.
Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.
11 ஏற்ற சமயத்தில் சொன்ன வார்த்தை வெள்ளித்தட்டில் வைக்கப்பட்ட பொற்பழங்களுக்குச் சமானம்.
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
12 கேட்கிற செவிக்கு, ஞானமாய்க் கடிந்துகொண்டு புத்திசொல்லுகிறவன், பொற்கடுக்கனுக்கும் அபரஞ்சிப் பூஷணத்திற்கும் சரி.
As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
13 கோடைகாலத்தில் உறைந்தமழையின் குளிர்ச்சி எப்படியிருக்கிறதோ, அப்படியே உண்மையான ஸ்தானாபதியும் தன்னை அனுப்பினவனுக்கு இருப்பான்; அவன் தன் எஜமான்களுடைய ஆத்துமாவைக் குளிரப்பண்ணுவான்.
As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
14 கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொல்லியும் கொடாமலிருக்கிற வஞ்சகன் மழையில்லாத மேகங்களுக்கும் காற்றுக்கும் சரி.
Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.
15 நீண்ட பொறுமையினால் பிரபுவையும் சம்மதிக்கப்பண்ணலாம்; இனிய நாவு எலும்பையும் நொறுக்கும்.
By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
16 தேனைக் கண்டுபிடித்தாயானால் மட்டாய்ச் சாப்பிடு; மிதமிஞ்சிச் சாப்பிட்டால் வாந்திபண்ணுவாய்.
Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
17 உன் அயலான் சலித்து உன்னை வெறுக்காதபடிக்கு, அடிக்கடி அவன் வீட்டில் கால் வைக்காதே.
Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour’s house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.
18 பிறனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லுகிற மனுஷன் தண்டாயுதத்துக்கும் கட்கத்துக்கும் கூர்மையான அம்புக்கும் ஒப்பானவன்.
A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
19 ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் துரோகியை நம்புவது உடைந்த பல்லுக்கும் மொழிபுரண்ட காலுக்கும் சமானம்.
Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
20 மனதுக்கமுள்ளவனுக்குப் பாட்டுகளைப் பாடுகிறவன், குளிர்காலத்தில் வஸ்திரத்தைக் களைகிறவனைப்போலவும், வெடியுப்பின்மேல் வார்த்த காடியைப்போலவும் இருப்பான்.
As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
21 உன் சத்துரு பசியாயிருந்தால், அவனுக்குப் புசிக்க ஆகாரங்கொடு; அவன் தாகமாயிருந்தால், குடிக்கத் தண்ணீர்கொடு.
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
22 அதினால் நீ அவன் தலையின்மேல் எரிகிற தழல்களைக் குவிப்பாய்; கர்த்தர் உனக்குப் பலனளிப்பார்.
For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.
23 வடகாற்று மழையையும், புறங்கூறுகிற நாவு கோபமுகத்தையும் பிறப்பிக்கும்.
The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
24 சண்டைக்காரியோடே ஒரு பெரிய வீட்டில் குடியிருப்பதைப்பார்க்கிலும் வீட்டின்மேல் ஒரு மூலையில் தங்குவதே நலம்.
It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
25 தூரதேசத்திலிருந்து வரும் நற்செய்தி விடாய்த்த ஆத்துமாவுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் குளிர்ந்த தண்ணீருக்குச் சமானம்.
As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
26 துன்மார்க்கருக்கு முன்பாக நீதிமான் தள்ளாடுவது கலங்கின கிணற்றுக்கும் கெட்டுப்போன சுனைக்கும் ஒப்பாகும்.
A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
27 தேனை மிகுதியாய் உண்பது நல்லதல்ல, தற்புகழை நாடுவதும் புகழல்ல.
It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
28 தன் ஆவியை அடக்காத மனுஷன் மதிலிடிந்த பாழான பட்டணம்போலிருக்கிறான்.
He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
