Genesis 42 - BBE (Hindi)

1 Now Jacob, hearing that there was grain in Egypt, said to his sons, Why are you looking at one another?जब याकूब ने सुना कि मिस्र में अन्न है, तब उसने अपने पुत्रों से कहा, तुम एक दूसरे का मुंह क्यों देख रहे हो।

2 And he said, I have had news that there is grain in Egypt: go down there and get grain for us, so that life and not death may be ours.फिर उसने कहा, मैं ने सुना है कि मिस्र में अन्न है; इसलिये तुम लोग वहां जा कर हमारे लिये अन्न मोल ले आओ, जिस से हम न मरें, वरन जीवित रहें।

3 So Joseph's ten brothers went down to get grain from Egypt.सो यूसुफ के दस भाई अन्न मोल लेने के लिये मिस्र को गए।

4 But Jacob did not send Benjamin, Joseph's brother, with them, for fear, as he said, that some evil might come to him.पर यूसुफ के भाई बिन्यामीन को याकूब ने यह सोचकर भाइयों के साथ न भेजा, कि कहीं ऐसा न हो कि उस पर कोई विपत्ति आ पड़े।

5 And the sons of Israel came with all the others to get grain: for they were very short of food in the land of Canaan.सो जो लोग अन्न मोल लेने आए उनके साथ इस्राएल के पुत्र भी आए; क्योंकि कनान देश में भी भारी अकाल था।

6 Now Joseph was ruler over all the land, and it was he who gave out the grain to all the people of the land; and Joseph's brothers came before him and went down on their faces to the earth.यूसुफ तो मिस्र देश का अधिकारी था, और उस देश के सब लोगों के हाथ वही अन्न बेचता था; इसलिये जब यूसुफ के भाई आए तब भूमि पर मुंह के बल गिर के दण्डवत किया।

7 And when Joseph saw his brothers, it was clear to him who they were, but he made himself strange to them, and talking roughly to them, said, Where do you come from? And they said, From the land of Canaan, to get food.उन को देखकर यूसुफ ने पहिचान तो लिया, परन्तु उनके साम्हने भोला बनके कठोरता के साथ उन से पूछा, तुम कहां से आते हो? उन्होंने कहा, हम तो कनान देश से अन्न मोल लेने के लिये आए हैं।

8 Now though Joseph saw that these were his brothers, they had no idea who he was.यूसुफ ने तो अपने भाइयों को पहिचान लिया, परन्तु उन्होंने उसको न पहिचाना।

9 Then the memory of his dreams about them came back to Joseph, and he said to them, You have come secretly to see how poor the land is.तब यूसुफ अपने उन स्वप्नों को स्मरण करके जो उसने उनके विषय में देखे थे, उन से कहने लगा, तुम भेदिए हो; इस देश की दुर्दशा को देखने के लिये आए हो।

10 And they said to him, Not so, my lord: your servants have come with money to get food.उन्होंने उससे कहा, नहीं, नहीं, हे प्रभु, तेरे दास भोजनवस्तु मोल लेने के लिये आए हैं।

11 We are all one man's sons, we are true men; we have not come with any secret purpose.हम सब एक ही पिता के पुत्र हैं, हम सीधे मनुष्य हैं, तेरे दास भेदिए नहीं।

12 And he said to them, No, but you have come to see how poor the land is.उसने उन से कहा, नहीं नहीं, तुम इस देश की दुर्दशा देखने ही को आए हो।

13 Then they said, We your servants are twelve brothers, sons of one man in the land of Canaan; the youngest of us is now with our father, and one is dead.उन्होंने कहा, हम तेरे दास बारह भाई हैं, और कनान देशवासी एक ही पुरूष के पुत्र हैं, और छोटा इस समय हमारे पिता के पास है, और एक जाता रहा।

14 And Joseph said, It is as I said; you have come with some secret purpose;तब यूसुफ ने उन से कहा, मैं ने तो तुम से कह दिया, कि तुम भेदिए हो;

15 But in this way will you be put to the test: by the life of Pharaoh, you will not go away from this place till your youngest brother comes here.सो इसी रीति से तुम परखे जाओगे, फिरौन के जीवन की शपथ, जब तक तुम्हारा छोटा भाई यहां न आए तब तक तुम यहां से न निकलने पाओगे।

16 Send one of your number to get your brother, and the rest of you will be kept in prison, so that your words may be tested to see if you are true; if not, by the life of Pharaoh, your purpose is certainly secret.सो अपने में से एक को भेज दो, कि वह तुम्हारे भाई को ले आए, और तुम लोग बन्धुवाई में रहोगे; इस प्रकार तुम्हारी बातें परखी जाएंगी, कि तुम में सच्चाई है कि नहीं। यदि सच्चे न ठहरे तब तो फिरौन के जीवन की शपथ तुम निश्चय ही भेदिए समझे जाओगे।

17 So he put them in prison for three days.तब उसने उन को तीन दिन तक बन्दीगृह में रखा।

18 And on the third day Joseph said to them, Do this, if you would keep your lives: for I am a god-fearing man:तीसरे दिन यूसुफ ने उन से कहा, एक काम करो तब जीवित रहोगे; क्योंकि मैं परमेश्वर का भय मानता हूं;

19 If you are true men, let one of you be kept in prison, while you go and take grain for the needs of your families;यदि तुम सीधे मनुष्य हो, तो तुम सब भाइयों में से एक जन इस बन्दीगृह में बन्धुआ रहे; और तुम अपने घर वालों की भूख बुझाने के लिये अन्न ले जाओ।

20 And come back to me with your youngest brother, so that your words may be seen to be true, and you will not be put to death. This is what you are to do.और अपने छोटे भाई को मेरे पास ले आओ; इस प्रकार तुम्हारी बातें सच्ची ठहरेंगी, और तुम मार डाले न जाओगे। तब उन्होंने वैसा ही किया।

21 And they said to one another, Truly, we did wrong to our brother, for we saw his grief of mind, and we did not give ear to his prayers; that is why this trouble has come on us.उन्होंने आपस में कहा, नि:स्न्देह हम अपने भाई के विषय में दोषी हैं, क्योंकि जब उसने हम से गिड़गिड़ा के बिनती की, तौभी हम ने यह देखकर, कि उसका जीवन कैसे संकट में पड़ा है, उसकी न सुनी; इसी कारण हम भी अब इस संकट में पड़े हैं।

22 And Reuben said to them, Did I not say to you, Do the child no wrong? but you gave no attention; so now, punishment has come on us for his blood.रूबेन ने उन से कहा, क्या मैं ने तुम से न कहा था, कि लड़के के अपराधी मत बनो? परन्तु तुम ने न सुना: देखो, अब उसके लोहू का पलटा दिया जाता है।

23 They were not conscious that the sense of their words was clear to Joseph, for he had been talking to them through one who had knowledge of their language.यूसुफ की और उनकी बातचीत जो एक दुभाषिया के द्वारा होती थी; इस से उन को मालूम न हुआ कि वह उनकी बोली समझता है।

24 And turning away from them, he was overcome with weeping; then he went on talking to them again and took Simeon and put chains on him before their eyes.तब वह उनके पास से हटकर रोने लगा; फिर उनके पास लौटकर और उन से बातचीत करके उन में से शिमोन को छांट निकाला और उसके साम्हने बन्धुआ रखा।

25 Then Joseph gave orders for their bags to be made full of grain, and for every man's money to be put back into his bag, and for food to be given them for the journey: which was done.तब यूसुफ ने आज्ञा दी, कि उनके बोरे अन्न से भरो और एक एक जन के बोरे में उसके रूपये को भी रख दो, फिर उन को मार्ग के लिये सीधा दो: सो उनके साथ ऐसा ही किया गया।

26 Then they put the bags of grain on their asses and went away.तब वे अपना अन्न अपने गदहों पर लादकर वहां से चल दिए।

27 Now at their night's resting-place one of them, opening his bag to give his ass some food, saw his money in the mouth of the bag.सराय में जब एक ने अपने गदहे को चारा देने के लिये अपना बोरा खोला, तब उसका रूपया बोरे के मोहड़े पर रखा हुआ दिखलाई पड़ा।

28 And he said to his brothers, My money has been given back: it is in my bag; then their hearts became full of fear, and turning to one another they said, What is this which God has done to us?तब उसने अपने भाइयों से कहा, मेरा रूपया तो फेर दिया गया है, देखो, वह मेरे बोरे में है; तब उनके जी में जी न रहा, और वे एक दूसरे की और भय से ताकने लगे, और बोले, परमेश्वर ने यह हम से क्या किया है?

29 So when they came to Jacob their father, in the land of Canaan, they gave him an account of all their experiences, saying,और वे कनान देश में अपने पिता याकूब के पास आए, और अपना सारा वृत्तान्त उससे इस प्रकार वर्णन किया:

30 The man who is the ruler of the country was rough with us and put us in prison, saying that we had come with a secret evil purpose.कि जो पुरूष उस देश का स्वामी है, उसने हम से कठोरता के साथ बातें कीं, और हम को देश के भेदिए कहा।

31 And we said to him, We are true men, we have no evil designs;तब हम ने उससे कहा, हम सीधे लोग हैं, भेदिए नहीं।

32 We are twelve brothers, sons of our father; one is dead, and the youngest is now with our father in the land of Canaan.हम बारह भाई एक ही पिता के पुत्र है, एक तो जाता रहा, परन्तु छोटा इस समय कनान देश में हमारे पिता के पास है।

33 And the ruler of the land said, In this way I may be certain that you are true men; let one of you be kept here with me, while you go and take grain for the needs of your families;तब उस पुरूष ने, जो उस देश का स्वामी है, हम से कहा, इस से मालूम हो जाएगा कि तुम सीधे मनुष्य हो; तुम अपने में से एक को मेरे पास छोड़ के अपने घर वालों की भूख बुझाने के लिये कुछ ले जाओ।

34 And come back to me with your youngest brother: then I will be certain that you are true men, and I will give your brother back to you and let you do trade in the land.और अपने छोटे भाई को मेरे पास ले आओ। तब मुझे विश्वास हो जाएगा कि तुम भेदिए नहीं, सीधे लोग हो। फिर मैं तुम्हारे भाई को तुम्हें सौंप दूंगा, और तुम इस देश में लेन देन कर सकोगे।

35 And when they took the grain out of their bags, it was seen that every man's parcel of money was in his bag; and when they and their father saw the money, they were full of fear.यह कहकर वे अपने अपने बोरे से अन्न निकालने लगे, तब, क्या देखा, कि एक एक जन के रूपये की थैली उसी के बोरे में रखी है: तब रूपये की थैलियों को देखकर वे और उनका पिता बहुत डर गए।

36 And Jacob their father said to them, You have taken my children from me: Joseph is gone and Simeon is gone, and now you would take Benjamin away; all these things have come on me.तब उनके पिता याकूब ने उन से कहा, मुझ को तुम ने निर्वंश कर दिया, देखो, यूसुफ नहीं रहा, और शिमोन भी नहीं आया, और अब तुम बिन्यामीन को भी ले जाना चाहते हो: ये सब विपत्तियां मेरे ऊपर आ पड़ी हैं।

37 And Reuben said, Put my two sons to death if I do not come back to you with him; let him be in my care and I will give him safely back to you.रूबेन ने अपने पिता से कहा, यदि मैं उसको तेरे पास न लाऊं, तो मेरे दोनों पुत्रों को मार डालना; तू उसको मेरे हाथ में सौंप दे, मैं उसे तेरे पास फिर पहुंचा दूंगा।

38 And he said, I will not let my son go down with you; for his brother is dead and he is all I have: if evil overtakes him on the journey, then through you will my grey head go down to the underworld in sorrow.उसने कहा, मेरा पुत्र तुम्हारे संग न जाएगा; क्योंकि उसका भाई मर गया है, और वह अब अकेला रह गया: इसलिये जिस मार्ग से तुम जाओगे, उस में यदि उस पर कोई विपत्ति आ पड़े, तब तो तुम्हारे कारण मैं इस बुढ़ापे की अवस्था में शोक के साथ अधोलोक में उतर जाऊंगा॥

39 Now the land was in bitter need of food.
