क्या ही धन्य है वह पुरूष, जो यहोवा पर भरोसा करता है, और अभिमानियों और मिथ्या की ओर मुड़ने वालों की ओर मुंह न फेरता हो।

1 கர்த்தர் வீட்டைக் கட்டாராகில், அதைக் கட்டுகிறவர்களின் பிரயாசம் விருதா;
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 கர்த்தர் நகரத்தைக் காவாராகில் காவலாளர் விழித்திருக்கிறது விருதா.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3 நீங்கள் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து நேரப்பட வேலையிலே தரித்து, வருத்தத்தின் அப்பத்தைச் சாப்பிடுகிறதும் விருதா; அவரே தமக்குப் பிரியமானவனுக்கு நித்திரை அளிக்கிறார்.
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 இதோ, பிள்ளைகள் கர்த்தரால் வரும் சுதந்தரம், கர்ப்பத்தின் கனி அவரால் கிடைக்கும் பலன்.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
