Psalm 74
1 हे परमेश्वर, तू ने हमें क्यों सदा के लिये छोड़ दिया है? तेरी कोपाग्नि का धुआं तेरी चराई की भेंड़ों के विरुद्ध क्यों उठ रहा है?
2 अपनी मण्डली को जिसे तू ने प्राचीन काल में मोल लिया था, और अपने निज भाग का गोत्र होने के लिये छुड़ा लिया था, और इस सिय्योन पर्वत को भी, जिस पर तू ने वास किया था, स्मारण कर!
3 अपने डग सनातन की खंडहर की ओर बढ़ा; अर्थात उन सब बुराइयों की ओर जो शत्रु ने पवित्र स्थान में किए हैं॥
4 तेरे द्रोही तेरे सभा स्थान के बीच गरजते रहे हैं; उन्होंने अपनी ही ध्वजाओं को चिन्ह ठहराया है। वे उन मनुष्यों के समान थे
5 जो घने वन के पेड़ों पर कुल्हाड़े चलाते हैं।
6 और अब वे उस भवन की नक्काशी को, कुल्हाडियों और हथौड़ों से बिलकुल तोड़े डालते हैं।
7 उन्होंने तेरे पवित्र स्थान को आग में झोंक दिया है, और तेरे नाम के निवास को गिरा कर अशुद्ध कर डाला है।
8 उन्होंने मन में कहा है कि हम इन को एकदम दबा दें; उन्होंने इस देश में ईश्वर के सब सभा स्थानों को फूंक दिया है॥
9 हम को हमारे निशान नहीं देख पड़ते; अब कोई नबी नहीं रहा, न हमारे बीच कोई जानता है कि कब तक यह दशा रहेगी।
10 हे परमेश्वर द्रोही कब तक नामधराई करता रहेगा? क्या शत्रु, तेरे नाम की निन्दा सदा करता रहेगा?
11 तू अपना दहिना हाथ क्यों रोके रहता है? उसे अपने पांजर से निकाल कर उनका अन्त कर दे॥
12 परमेश्वर तो प्राचीन काल से मेरा राजा है, वह पृथ्वी पर उद्धार के काम करता आया है।
13 तू ने अपनी शक्ति से समुद्र को दो भाग कर दिया; तू ने जल में मगरमच्छों के सिरों को फोड़ दिया।
14 तू ने तो लिव्यातानों के सिर टुकड़े टुकड़े करके जंगली जन्तुओं को खिला दिए।
15 तू ने तो सोता खोल कर जल की धारा बहाई, तू ने तो बारहमासी नदियों को सुखा डाला।
16 दिन तेरा है रात भी तेरी है; सूर्य और चन्द्रमा को तू ने स्थिर किया है।
17 तू ने तो पृथ्वी के सब सिवानों को ठहराया; धूपकाल और जाड़ा दोनों तू ने ठहराए हैं॥
18 हे यहोवा स्मरण कर, कि शत्रु ने नामधराई की है, और मूढ़ लोगों ने तेरे नाम की निन्दा की है।
19 अपनी पिण्डुकी के प्राण को वनपशु के वश में न कर; अपने दीन जनों को सदा के लिये न भूल
20 अपनी वाचा की सुधि ले; क्योंकि देश के अन्धेरे स्थान अत्याचार के घरों से भरपूर हैं।
21 पिसे हुए जन को निरादर होकर लौटना न पड़े; दीन दरिद्र लोग तेरे नाम की स्तुति करने पाएं॥
22 हे परमेश्वर उठ, अपना मुकद्दमा आप ही लड़; तेरी जो नामधराई मूढ़ से दिन भर होती रहती है, उसे स्मरण कर।
23 अपने द्रोहियों का बड़ा बोल न भूल, तेरे विरोधियों का कोलाहल तो निरन्तर उठता रहता है।

2 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
3 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
4 Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
5 Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
6 A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
7 But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
8 They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
9 They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
10 We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
11 O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
12 Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.
13 For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
14 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
15 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
16 Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
17 The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
18 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
19 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Lord, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
20 O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
21 Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
22 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
23 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
24 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

A Psalm of David.
1 हे यहोवा मैं अपने मन को तेरी ओर उठाता हूं।
Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 हे मेरे परमेश्वर, मैं ने तुझी पर भरोसा रखा है, मुझे लज्जित होने न दे; मेरे शत्रु मुझ पर जयजयकार करने न पाएं।
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 वरन जितने तेरी बाट जोहते हैं उन में से कोई लज्जित न होगा; परन्तु जो अकारण विश्वासघाती हैं वे ही लज्जित होंगे॥
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 हे यहोवा अपने मार्ग मुझ को दिखला; अपना पथ मुझे बता दे।
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 मुझे अपने सत्य पर चला और शिक्षा दे, क्योंकि तू मेरा उद्धार करने वाला परमेश्वर है; मैं दिन भर तेरी ही बाट जोहता रहता हूं।
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 हे यहोवा अपनी दया और करूणा के कामों को स्मरण कर; क्योंकि वे तो अनन्तकाल से होते आए हैं।
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 हे यहोवा अपनी भलाई के कारण मेरी जवानी के पापों और मेरे अपराधों को स्मरण न कर; अपनी करूणा ही के अनुसार तू मुझे स्मरण कर॥
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
8 यहोवा भला और सीधा है; इसलिये वह पापियों को अपना मार्ग दिखलाएगा।
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 वह नम्र लोगों को न्याय की शिक्षा देगा, हां वह नम्र लोगों को अपना मार्ग दिखलाएगा।
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 जो यहोवा की वाचा और चितौनियों को मानते हैं, उनके लिये उसके सब मार्ग करूणा और सच्चाई हैं॥
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 हे यहोवा अपने नाम के निमित्त मेरे अधर्म को जो बहुत हैं क्षमा कर॥
For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 वह कौन है जो यहोवा का भय मानता है? यहोवा उसको उसी मार्ग पर जिस से वह प्रसन्न होता है चलाएगा।
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 वह कुशल से टिका रहेगा, और उसका वंश पृथ्वी पर अधिकारी होगा।
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 यहोवा के भेद को वही जानते हैं जो उससे डरते हैं, और वह अपनी वाचा उन पर प्रगट करेगा।
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
15 मेरी आंखे सदैव यहोवा पर टकटकी लगाए रहती हैं, क्योंकि वही मेरे पांवों को जाल में से छुड़ाएगा॥
Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
16 हे यहोवा मेरी ओर फिरकर मुझ पर अनुग्रह कर; क्योंकि मैं अकेला और दीन हूं।
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 मेरे हृदय का क्लेश बढ़ गया है, तू मुझ को मेरे दु:खों से छुड़ा ले।
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 तू मेरे दु:ख और कष्ट पर दृष्टि कर, और मेरे सब पापों को क्षमा कर॥
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
19 मेरे शत्रुओं को देख कि वे कैसे बढ़ गए हैं, और मुझ से बड़ा बैर रखते हैं।
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 मेरे प्राण की रक्षा कर, और मुझे छुड़ा; मुझे लज्जित न होने दे, क्योंकि मैं तेरा शरणागत हूं।
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
21 खराई और सीधाई मुझे सुरक्षित रखें, क्योंकि मुझे तेरे ही आशा है॥
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
22 हे परमेश्वर इस्राएल को उसके सारे संकटों से छुड़ा ले॥
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
