Isaiah 29:1

தாவீது வாசம்பண்ணின நகரமாகிய அரியேலே, அரியேலே, ஐயோ! வருஷாவருஷம் பண்டிகைகளை அனுசரித்துவந்தாலும்,

அரியேலின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிற திரளான சகல ஜாதிகளும், அதின்மேலும் அதின் அரண்மேலும் யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அதற்கு இடுக்கண் செய்கிற அனைவரும் இராக்காலத்தரிசனமாகிய சொப்பனத்தைக் காண்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருப்பார்கள்.

கொடியன் அற்றுப்போவான், சக்கந்தக்காரன் இல்லாமற்போவான்.

וְהָיָ֡הwĕhāyâveh-ha-YA
as
when
כַּאֲשֶׁר֩kaʾăšerka-uh-SHER
an
hungry
יַחֲלֹ֨םyaḥălōmya-huh-LOME
man
dreameth,
הָרָעֵ֜בhārāʿēbha-ra-AVE
and,
behold,
וְהִנֵּ֣הwĕhinnēveh-hee-NAY
he
eateth;
אוֹכֵ֗לʾôkēloh-HALE
but
he
awaketh,
וְהֵקִיץ֮wĕhēqîṣveh-hay-KEETS
and
his
soul
וְרֵיקָ֣הwĕrêqâveh-ray-KA
is
empty:
נַפְשׁוֹ֒napšônahf-SHOH
or
as
when
וְכַאֲשֶׁ֨רwĕkaʾăšerveh-ha-uh-SHER
a
thirsty
man
יַחֲלֹ֤םyaḥălōmya-huh-LOME
dreameth,
הַצָּמֵא֙haṣṣāmēʾha-tsa-MAY
and,
behold,
וְהִנֵּ֣הwĕhinnēveh-hee-NAY
he
drinketh;
שֹׁתֶ֔הšōteshoh-TEH
but
he
awaketh,
וְהֵקִיץ֙wĕhēqîṣveh-hay-KEETS
and,
behold,
וְהִנֵּ֣הwĕhinnēveh-hee-NAY
he
is
faint,
עָיֵ֔ףʿāyēpah-YAFE
and
his
soul
וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹwĕnapšôveh-nahf-SHOH
hath
appetite:
שׁוֹקֵקָ֑הšôqēqâshoh-kay-KA
so
כֵּ֣ןkēnkane
shall
the
multitude
יִֽהְיֶ֗הyihĕyeyee-heh-YEH
of
all
הֲמוֹן֙hămônhuh-MONE
the
nations
כָּלkālkahl
be,
הַגּוֹיִ֔םhaggôyimha-ɡoh-YEEM
that
fight
הַצֹּבְאִ֖יםhaṣṣōbĕʾîmha-tsoh-veh-EEM
against
עַלʿalal
mount
הַ֥רharhahr
Zion.
צִיּֽוֹן׃ṣiyyôntsee-yone
