அப்பொழுது இஸ்மவேலோடிருந்த சகல ஜனங்களும் கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானையும், அவனோடிருந்த எல்லா இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரையும் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்பட்டு,

நீங்கள் தூபங்காட்டி, கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம்செய்து, கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்காமலும், அவருடைய வேதத்திற்கும், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்கும், அவருடைய சாட்சிகளுக்கும், இணங்கி நடக்காமலும் போனதினால் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி இந்தத் தீங்கு உங்களுக்குச் சம்பவித்தது என்றான்.
