எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோன் பாழாக்கப்பட்டான்; அவனுக்குக் குறித்த காலம் முடிந்ததென்று அங்கே சத்தமிட்டுச் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

என் தாசனாகிய யாக்கோபே, நீ பயப்படாதே; இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ கலங்காதே; இதோ, நான் உன்னைத் தூரத்திலும், உன் சந்ததியை அவர்கள் சிறையிருப்பின் தேசத்திலுமிருந்து விடுவித்துக் காப்பாற்றுவேன்; அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு திரும்பிவந்து, அமைதியுடனும் பயமில்லாமல் இருப்பான்; அவனைத் தத்தளிக்கச்செய்வார் இல்லை.

“யாக்கோபே, என் ஊழியக்காரனே, பயப்படாதே! இஸ்ரவேலே! அஞ்ச வேண்டாம்! அந்தத் தூரமான இடங்களிலிருந்து நான் உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றுவேன். சிறைப்பட்டிருக்கிற நாடுகளிலிருந்து நான் உன் பிள்ளைகளை மீட்பேன். யாக்கோபு மீண்டும் சமாதானமும் பாதுகாப்பும் பெறுவான். அவனை எவரும் பயமுறுத்த முடியாது.”
