பார்வோன் காத்சாவை அழிக்குமுன்னே, பெலிஸ்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டான கர்த்தருடைய வசனம்:

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, வடக்கேயிருந்து ஜலம் பொங்கி பிரவாகமாகி தேசத்தின்மேலும், அதிலுள்ள எல்லாவற்றின் மேலும், நகரத்தின்மேலும், அதில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களின் மேலும் புரண்டு ஓடும்; அப்பொழுது மனுஷர் கூக்குரலிட்டு, தேசத்தின் குடிகளெல்லாரும் அலறுவார்கள்.

כֹּ֖ל

Because of	עַל	ʿal	al
the day	הַיּ֗וֹם	hayyôm	HA-yome
that cometh	הַבָּא֙	habbāʾ	ha-BA
to spoil	לִשְׁד֣וֹד	lišdôd	leesh-DODE
	אֶת	ʾet	et
all	כָּל	kāl	kahl
the Philistines,	פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים	pĕlištîm	peh-leesh-TEEM
and to cut off	לְהַכְרִ֤ית	lĕhakrît	leh-hahk-REET
from Tyrus	לְצֹר֙	lĕṣōr	leh-TSORE
and Zidon	וּלְצִיד֔וֹן	ûlĕṣîdôn	oo-leh-tsee-DONE
every	כֹּ֖ל	kōl	kole
helper	שָׂרִ֣יד	śārîd	sa-REED
that remaineth:	עֹזֵ֑ר	ʿōzēr	oh-ZARE
for	כִּֽי	kî	kee
the Lord	שֹׁדֵ֤ד	šōdēd	shoh-DADE
will spoil	יְהוָה֙	yĕhwāh	yeh-VA
	אֶת	ʾet	et
the Philistines,	פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים	pĕlištîm	peh-leesh-TEEM
the remnant	שְׁאֵרִ֖ית	šĕʾērît	sheh-ay-REET
of the country	אִ֥י	ʾî	ee
of Caphtor.	כַפְתּֽוֹר׃	kaptôr	hahf-TORE
