அவன் தரித்திரரைக் குறித்துக் கவலைப்பட்டு இப்படிச் சொல்லாமல், அவன் திருடனானபடியினாலும், பணப்பையை வைத்துக்கொண்டு அதிலே போடப்பட்டதைச் சுமக்கிறவனானபடியினாலும் இப்படிச் சொன்னான்.

ஆனால் உண்மையில் அவனுக்கு ஏழைகளின்மீது அக்கறையில்லை. அவன் ஒரு திருடனானபடியால் இவ்வாறு சொன்னான். இவன்தான் இயேசுவின் சீஷர்களுள் பணப்பையை வைத்திருந்தவன். இவன் அவ்வப்போது பணப்பையிலிருந்து பணம் திருடி வந்தான்.

ஏழைகள்பால் கொண்டிருந்த அக்கறையினால் அல்ல, மாறாக அவன் ஒரு திருடனாய் இருந்ததால்தான் இப்படிக் கேட்டான். பணப்பை அவனிடம் இருந்தது. அதில் போடப்பட்ட பணத்திலிருந்து அவன் எடுத்துக் கொள்வதுண்டு.
