ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಗಾದನಿಗೆ--ದಾವೀದನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯನಾದ ಒರ್ನಾನನ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.

ಅದೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಗಾದನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯನಾದ ಅರೌನನ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗಾದನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಮೂರು ವರುಷಗಳ ಬರವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾಶಹೊಂದುವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಕತ್ತಿ ಎಂಬುವ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗುವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ನೀನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೋ.

1 ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾ 21:15
ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ನಾಶಮಾಡು ವದನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ನೋಡಿ ಆ ಕೇಡಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಶ್ಚಾ ತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ದೂತನಿಗೆ--ಸಾಕು; ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೆಗೆ ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯನಾದ ಒರ್ನಾನನ ಕಣದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು.
