2 Kings 22:9
ಲೇಖಕನಾದ ಶಾಫಾನನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅರಸನಿಗೆಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕಿದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡು ವವರ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಬಾರೂಕನು ಪುಸ್ತಕದಿಂದ ಯೆರೆ ವಿಾಯನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಖಕ ನಾದ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಗೆಮರ್ಯನ ಕೊಠಡಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದ ಹೊಸ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಪ್ರವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರ ಕಿವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗೆಮರ್ಯನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಪತ್ರದ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಯಾವ ವಂದರೆ--

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೂ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಕಾಮ್ನಿಗೂ ವಿಾಕಾ ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಕ್ಬೋರ್ನಿಗೂ ಲೇಖಕನಾದ ಶಾಫಾನನಿಗೂ ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಅಸಾಯನಿಗೂ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿನೆಂಟನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅರಸನು ಲೇಖಕನಾದ ಮೆಷುಲ್ಲಾ ಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಚಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶಾಫಾನನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
Ezekiel 8:11
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನ ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾಜನ್ಯನೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದರು; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲೂ ಅವನವನ ಧೂಪಾ ರತಿ ಇತ್ತು; ಧೂಪದ ಸುವಾಸನೆಯು ಮೇಘವಾಗಿ ಏರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
