Deuteronomy 28:53
ಆಗ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭದ ಫಲವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನುವಿ.

| fruit the | פְרִֽי | pĕrî | feh-REE |
| of thine own body, | בִטְנְךָ֗ | biṭnĕkā | veet-neh-HA |
| flesh the | בְּשַׂ֤ר | bĕśar | beh-SAHR |
| of thy sons | בָּנֶ֙יךָ֙ | bānêkā | ba-NAY-HA |
| daughters, thy of and | וּבְנֹתֶ֔יךָ | ûbĕnōtêkā | oo-veh-noh-TAY-ha |
| which | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| Lord the | נָֽתַן | nātan | NA-tahn |
| thy God | לְךָ֖ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| hath given | יְהוָ֣ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| siege, the in thee, | אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ | ʾĕlōhêkā | ay-loh-HAY-ha |
| straitness, the in and | בְּמָצוֹר֙ | bĕmāṣôr | beh-ma-TSORE |
| wherewith | וּבְמָצ֔וֹק | ûbĕmāṣôq | oo-veh-ma-TSOKE |
| thine enemies | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| shall distress | יָצִ֥יק | yāṣîq | ya-TSEEK |
| thee: | לְךָ֖ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| אֹֽיְבֶֽךָ׃ | ʾōyĕbekā | OH-yeh-VEH-ha |
