Deuteronomy 9 - BBE (Kannada)

1 Give ear, O Israel: today you are to go over Jordan, to take the heritage of nations greater and stronger than yourselves, and towns of great size with walls as high as heaven;ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ಕೇಳು; ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ವರೆಗೆ ಭದ್ರಮಾಡಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ

2 A people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, of whom you have knowledge and of whom it has been said, All are forced to give way before the sons of Anak.ಅನಾಕ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿ ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡಂಥ ಆ ಮಹಾ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಜನವಾಗಿರುವ ಅನಾಕ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟುತ್ತೀ.

3 Be certain then today that it is the Lord your God who goes over before you like an all-burning fire; he will send destruction on them, crushing them before you; and you will send them in flight, putting an end to them quickly, as the Lord has said.ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತನು ದಹಿಸುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡು ವನು; ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸುವನು; ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವಿ.

4 And after the Lord has sent them in flight from before you, say not in your heart, Because of my righteousness the Lord has given me this land; when it is because of their evil-doing that the Lord is driving these nations out before you.ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದಾಗ--ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

5 Not for your righteousness or because your hearts are upright are you going in to take their land; but because of the evil-doing of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and to give effect to his oath to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನೀನು ಅವರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಯಾಕೋಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

6 Be certain then that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land as a reward for your righteousness; for you are a stiff-necked people.ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ಉತ್ತಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ನೀನು ಬಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನವೇ.

7 Keep well in mind how you made the Lord your God angry in the waste land; from the day when you went out of Egypt till you came to this place, you have gone against the orders of the Lord.ನೀನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡು, ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ; ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

8 Again in Horeb you made the Lord angry, and in his wrath he would have put an end to you.ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟುಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.

9 When I had gone up into the mountain to be given the stones on which was recorded the agreement which the Lord made with you, I was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights without taking food or drinking water.ಆ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿದಾಗ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆನು.

10 And the Lord gave me the two stones with writing on them done by the finger of God: on them were recorded all the words which the Lord said to you on the mountain out of the heart of the fire, on the day of the great meeting.ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀರೂ ಕುಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಬೆರಳಿನಿಂದ ಬರೆದ ಆ ಎರಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸಭಾಕೂಟದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು.

11 Then at the end of forty days and forty nights the Lord gave me those stones, the stones of the agreement.ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಲಗೆಗಳಾದ ಆ ಎರಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

12 And the Lord said to me, Get up now, and go down quickly from this place; for the people you have taken out of Egypt have given themselves over to evil; they have quickly been turned from the way in which I gave them orders to go; they have made themselves a metal image.ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ಎದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬೇಗ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರು ಕೆಟ್ಟುಹೋದರು; ನಾನು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮಗೆ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

13 And then the Lord said to me, I have seen that this people is stiff-necked:ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ--ನಾನು ಈ ಜನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಇದು ಬಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನವೇ.

14 Let me send destruction on them till their very name is cut off; and I will make of you a nation greater and stronger than they.ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡು; ಆಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲವಾದ ಬಹು ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

15 So turning round I came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire; and the two stones of the agreement were in my hands.ಆಗ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದೆನು; ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಒಡಂಬಡಿ ಕೆಯ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವು.

16 And I saw that you had done evil against the Lord, and had made for yourselves a metal image of a young ox: you had quickly been turned from the way in which the Lord had given you orders to go.ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

17 And I let the stones go from my hands, and they were broken before your eyes.ಆಗ ನಾನು ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.

18 And I went down on my face before the Lord, as at the first, for forty days and forty nights, without taking food or drinking water, because of all your sin, in doing evil in the eyes of the Lord and moving him to wrath.ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಮುಂಚಿನಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.

19 For I was full of fear because of the wrath of the Lord which was burning against you, with your destruction in view. But again the Lord's ear was open to my prayer.ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೋಪ ರೌದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿದೆನು; ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

20 And the Lord, in his wrath, would have put Aaron to death: and I made prayer for Aaron at the same time.ಆರೋನನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು.

21 And I took your sin, the image which you had made, and put it in the fire and had it hammered and crushed very small till it was only dust: and the dust I put in the stream flowing down from the mountain.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪವಾಗಿರುವ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತುಳಿದು ಅದು ಧೂಳಿ ನಂತೆ ಪುಡಿಯಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅರೆದು ಅದರ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಹರಿಯುವ ಹಳ್ಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.

22 Again at Taberah and at Massah and at Kibroth-hattaavah you made the Lord angry.ತಬೇರಾನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಸ್ಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಿಬ್ರೋತ್‌ ಹತಾವಾದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ವರಾದಿರಿ.

23 And when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and take the land which I have given you; you went against the orders of the Lord your God, and had no faith in him, and would not give ear to his voice.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾದೇಶ್‌ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವಾಗ--ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

24 From the day when I first had knowledge of you, you have gone against the word of the Lord.ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬೀಳುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

25 So I went down on my face in prayer before the Lord for forty days and forty nights as I did at first; because the Lord had said that he would put an end to you.ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮುಂಚೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.

26 And I made prayer to the Lord and said, O Lord God, do not send destruction on your people and your heritage, to whom, by your great power, you have given salvation, whom you have taken out of Egypt by the strength of your hand.ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿ--ಓ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹತ್ವದಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ, ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನ ವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

27 Keep in mind your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, not looking at the hard heart of this people, or their evil-doing and their sin:ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಯಾಕೋಬರನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೋ; ಈ ಜನರ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅವರ ಪಾಪದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಡಬೇಡ.

28 Or it may be said in the land from which you have taken them, Because the Lord was not able to take them into the land which he said he would give them, and because of his hate for them, he has taken them out to put them to death in the waste land.ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಿಯೋ ಆ ದೇಶವು--ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡ ಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದಲೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಬಾರದು.

29 But still they are your people and your heritage, whom you took out by your great power and by your stretched-out arm.ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಚಾಚಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನವೂ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವೂ ಇವರೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು.
