Ecclesiastes 5 - ASV (Kannada)

1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God; for to draw nigh to hear is better than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they know not that they do evil.ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸು; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿರು. ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡು ತ್ತಾರೆ.

2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thy heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಆತುರಪಡದಿರು ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾವದನ್ನು ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ದುಡುಕದೇ ಇರಲಿ; ದೇವರು ಪರಲೋಕ ದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದೀ; ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಕೊಂಚವಾಗಿರಲಿ.

3 For a dream cometh with a multitude of business, and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.ಬಹಳ ಕೆಲಸದ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನಸು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಬಹು ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಮೂಢನ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ;

4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou vowest.ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಲು ತಡಮಾಡಬೇಡ; ಮೂಢರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು ತೀರಿಸು.

5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿ ತೀರಿಸದೆ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವದು ಒಳ್ಳೇದು.

6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that is was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thy hands?ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಬಿಡಬೇಡ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದು ತಪ್ಪು ಎಂದು ದೂತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ; ಇದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಯಾಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಬೇಕು?

7 For in the multitude of dreams there are vanities, and in many words: but fear thou God.ಬಹು ಕನಸುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧವಿಧವಾದ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದವುಗಳು ಇವೆ; ನೀನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡು.

8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and the violent taking away of justice and righteousness in a province, marvel not at the matter: for one higher than the high regardeth; and there are higher than they.ಬಡವರ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರದ ವಕ್ರತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಉನ್ನತೋನ್ನತನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಉನ್ನತವಾ ದವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

9 Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king `himself' is served by the field.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಲಾಭವು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಇದೆ; ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance, with increase: this also is vanity.ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತ ನಾಗನು; ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಲಾರನು; ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ.

11 When goods increase, they are increased that eat them; and what advantage is there to the owner thereof, save the beholding `of them' with his eyes?ಸೊತ್ತುಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾ ಗುವರು; ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ನೋಡು ವದೇ ಹೊರತು ಅವುಗಳ ಸ್ವಂತದವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿದೆ?

12 The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much; but the fulness of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುವವನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತಿಂದರೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಿಂದರೂ ಅವನು ಹಾಯಾಗಿ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡಗೊಡಿಸದು.

13 There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun, `namely', riches kept by the owner thereof to his hurt:ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ವ್ಯಥೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಒಂದು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅದು ಯಾವ ದಂದರೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಥೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಯಜ ಮಾನರು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೇ.

14 and those riches perish by evil adventure; and if he hath begotten a son, there is nothing in his hand.ಆದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯಾ ಸದಿಂದ ಆ ಆಸ್ತಿಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇರದು.

15 As he came forth from his mother's womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಂದನೋ ಅವನು ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗುವನು; ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

16 And this also is a grievous evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that he laboreth for the wind?ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯಥೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವೇ. ಅದು ಯಾವ ದಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಂದನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹೋಗುವನು; ಗಾಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಟ್ಟ ವನಿಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನಿದೆ?

17 All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he is sore vexed, and hath sickness and wrath.ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ವ್ಯಥೆಯೂ ಕ್ರೋಧವೂ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.

18 Behold, that which I have seen to be good and to be comely is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, wherein he laboreth under the sun, all the days of his life which God hath given him: for this is his portion.ನಾನು ಕಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ನೋಡು; ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತಾನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ಸುಖವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿ ಯುವದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೂ ಉಚಿತವಾದದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ; ಅದು ಅವನ ಪಾಲು.

19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor-this is the gift of God.ಪ್ರತಿ ಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ದೇವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆಸ್ತಿಪಾಸ್ತಿಗ ಳನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವದೂ ದೇವರ ದಾನದಿಂದಲೇ.

20 For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth `him' in the joy of his heart.ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಿತದ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಗಣನೆಗೆ ತಾರನು; ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಸಂತೋಷ ದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
