Ezekiel 39
1 ಆದದರಿಂದ, ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನೀನು, ಗೋಗನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ, ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳು --ಇಗೋ, ಮೇಷಕ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ತೂಬಲಿಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪ್ರಭುವಾದ ಓ ಗೋಗನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ;
2 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರನೆಯ ಭಾಗವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುವೆನು; ಉತ್ತರದ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತರುವೆನು;
3 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಎಡಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವೆನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾಣಗಳು ಉದುರಿ ಬೀಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
4 ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಳಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವಿರಿ; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರಹದ ಮಾಂಸ ತಿನ್ನುವ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಬಯಲಿನ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೂ ತಿನ್ನುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
5 ನೀನು ತೆರೆದ ಬಯಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವಿ; ನಾನೇ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿರುವೆನು ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
6 ನಾನು ಮಾಗೋಗ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಅವ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದ್ವೀಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವರು ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವರು.
7 ಹೀಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನೇ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವರು.
8 ಇಗೋ, ಇದು ಬಂತು, ಮತ್ತು ಇದು ನೆರವೇರಿತು; ನಾನು ಮುಂತಿಳಿಸಿದ ದಿನವು ಇದೇ ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ;
9 ಆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಹೋಗಿ, ಆಯುಧಗಳಾದ ಗುರಾಣಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಖೇಡ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೈದೊಣ್ಣೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಭಲ್ಲೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಹಚ್ಚಿ ಸುಡುವರು; ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಏಳು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡುವರು.
10 ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಬಯಲಿನಿಂದ ಮರ ಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅಥವಾ ಅರಣ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸುಡುವರು; ಅವರು ಸೂರೆಯಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದವರನ್ನು ತಾವು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆ ಯುವರು ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
11 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ -- ನಾನು ಗೋಗನಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಯಾವದಂದರೆ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ಕಣಿವೆಯೇ; ಆಗ ಅದು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವದು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಗನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಳವನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಮಾಡುವರು; ಆ ಕಣಿವೆಯನ್ನು ಹಮೋನ ಗೋಗ್‌ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವರು.
12 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮನೆತನ ದವರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಏಳು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡುವರು.
13 ಹೌದು ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡುವರು; ನಾನು ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಅವರಿಗಾಗುವದು ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
14 ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಿಕ್ಕವರನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಹೂಣಿಡುವ ದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೇ ನೇಮಿಸುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಇವರು ಏಳು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹುಡುಕುವರು.
15 ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿ ಕರು ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೂಣಿಡು ವರು. ಹಮೋನ ಗೋಗನ ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿ ಡುವ ತನಕ ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರು ಯಾವದಾದರೊಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಎಲುಬನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ದಾಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರುತು ಹಾಕುವರು.
16 ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಆ ನಗರದ ಹೆಸರು ಹಮೋನ.
17 ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನೀನು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬಯಲಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಗಳಿಗೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ. ನಾನು ನಿಮ ಗಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ನನ್ನ ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸೇರಿರಿ; ಇದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಮಹಾಯಜ್ಞವಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀವು ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯ ಬಹುದು.
18 ನೀವು ಶೂರರ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಟಗರು ಕುರಿಮರಿ ಹೋತ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಿಗಳ ಬಾಷಾನಿನ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶು ಇವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವಿರಿ.
19 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ಮತ್ತೇರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಬಹುದು.
20 ಹೀಗೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುದುರೆಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ರಥಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಶೂರರಿಂದಲೂ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
21 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ನಾನು ನಡೆಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವು.
22 ಹೀಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮನೆತನದವರು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಅಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅವರ ದೇವ ರಾಗಿರುವೆನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವರು.
23 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮನೆತನದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋದರೆಂದು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ತಿಳಿಯುವವು; ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದ್ರೋಹ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತರಾದರು.
24 ಅವರ ಅಶುದ್ಧತ್ವದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಂದ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
25 ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಈಗ ನಾನು ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಸೆರೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತರುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದ ವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಡುತ್ತೆನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಗೌರವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿರುವೆನು.
26 ಅವರು ಹೆದರಿಸುವವರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಉಂಟಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತ ತರುವಾಯ,
27 ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಜನಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೆ ತಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗುವೆನು;
28 ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಗೈದವನೂ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದವನು ನಾನೇ ಅವರ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಯುವರು.
29 ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿದಿರುವೆನೆಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord God; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord God.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord God.
14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.
16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord God.
21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.
23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
28 Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
1 Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
2 The son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,
3 The son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,
4 The son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,
5 The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest:
6 This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.
7 And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
8 And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.
9 For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
11 Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the Lord, and of his statutes to Israel.
12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.
13 I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
14 Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellers, to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;
15 And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellers have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,
16 And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:
17 That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
18 And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.
19 The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
20 And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king’s treasure house.
21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
22 Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.
23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.
25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem:
28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellers, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
