ಬೆಲಗನು ಸತ್ತ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಬೊಚ್ರದವನಾದ ಜೆರಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಬಾಬನು ಆಳಿದನು.

ಎದೋಮಿನಿಂದಲೂ ರಕ್ತಾಂಬರ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೊಚ್ರದಿಂದಲೂ ಬರುವ ಇವನ್ಯಾರು? ಪ್ರಭೆಯುಳ್ಳ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡ ವನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಹಾಪರಾಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಇವನ್ಯಾರು? ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡು ವವನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ನಾನೇ.
Amos 1:12
ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ತೇಮಾನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು, ಅದು ಬೊಚ್ರದ ಅರಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವದು.
