Jeremiah 38 - ASV (Kannada)

1 And Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashhur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur the son of Malchijah, heard the words that Jeremiah spake unto all the people, saying,ಮತ್ತಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಫತ್ಯನೂ ಷಷ್ಹೂರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗೆದಲ್ಯನೂ ಸೆಲ್ಯೆಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೂಕಲನೂ ಮಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪಷ್ಹೂರನೂ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು; ಅವು ಯಾವವೆಂದರೆ--

2 Thus saith Jehovah, He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey, and he shall live.ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವವನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಯುವನು; ಆದರೆ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುವವನು ಬದುಕುವನು; ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಾಗಿರುವದು;

3 Thus saith Jehovah, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.ಅವನು ಬದುಕುವನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ಅರಸನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದು; ಅದು ಅದನ್ನು ವಶಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.

4 Then the princes said unto the king, Let this man, we pray thee, be put to death; forasmuch as he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ --ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಾಯಲಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇವನು ಇಂಥಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆಡಿ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯುದ್ಧಸ್ಥರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಲಹೀನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಜನರ ಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನಲ್ಲ ಅವರ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

5 And Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand; for the king is not he that can do anything against you.ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅರಸನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲವ ನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchijah the king's son, that was in the court of the guard: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Jeremiah sank in the mire.ಆಗ ಅವರು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹಮ್ಮೇಲೆಕನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು; ಅವರು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಿದರು; ಆ ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಕೆಸರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಇತ್ತು; ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಕೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಣುಗಿದನು.

7 Now when Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, a eunuch, who was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon (the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin,)ಆಗ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಂಚುಕಿಯಾದ ಎಬೆದೆಲ್ಮೆಕನೆಂಬ ಕೂಷ್ಯನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತಿರಲಾಗಿ,

8 Ebed-melech went forth out of the king's house, and spake to the king, saying,ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆ ಕನು ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die in the place where he is, because of the famine; for there is no more bread in the city.ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನೊ ಡೆಯನೇ, ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದ ಪ್ರವಾ ದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವನು ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ;

10 Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಕೂಷ್ಯನಾದ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎತ್ತೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

11 So Ebed-melech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence rags and worn-out garments, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.ಆಗ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಖಜಾನೆ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹರಿದು ಹೋದ ಹಳೇ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸವೆದು ಹೋದ ಹಳೇ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿದನು.

12 And Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these rags and worn-out garments under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.ಕೂಷ್ಯನಾದ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ-- ಹರಿದು ಸವೆದು ಹೋದ ಈ ಹಳೇಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಂಕಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ ಅಂದನು; ಯೆರೆ ವಿಾಯನು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

13 So they drew up Jeremiah with the cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.ಹೀಗೆ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ಎಳೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎತ್ತಿದರು; ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದನು.

14 Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that is in the house of Jehovah: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me.ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೂರನೇ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನಗೆ ಯಾವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಬಚ್ಚಿಡಬೇಡ ಅಂದನು.

15 Then Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare it unto thee, wilt thou not surely put me to death? and if I give thee counsel, thou wilt not hearken unto me.ಆಗ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನೀನು ಕೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

16 So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As Jehovah liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.ಹೀಗೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆರೆ ವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಅಂತರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ --ನಮಗೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

17 Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: If thou wilt go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thy house.ಆಗ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಬದುಕುವದು. ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡ ಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಮತ್ತು ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ಬದುಕುವಿರಿ.

18 But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand.ನೀನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದು; ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡುವರು; ನೀನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen away to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರಿಗೆ ಒಳಬಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ವಿಷಯ ಅಂಜು ತ್ತೇನೆ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಯಾರು.

20 But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of Jehovah, in that which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well with thee, and thy soul shall live.ಆಗ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವರು ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ --ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೇಳು; ಆಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುವದು; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬದುಕು ವದು.

21 But if thou refuse to go forth, this is the word that Jehovah hath showed me:ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿ ಲ್ಲದ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಮಾತು ಇದೇ--

22 behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah's house shall be brought forth to the king of Babylon's princes, and those women shall say, Thy familiar friends have set thee on, and have prevailed over thee: `now that' thy feet are sunk in the mire, they are turned away back.ಇಗೋ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಹೆಂಗಸರೆಲ್ಲರು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳುವದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಕೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಹಿಂಜರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

23 And they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans; and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರುವರು; ನೀನು ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವಿ; ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡುವಿ ಅಂದನು.

24 Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and thou shalt not die.ಆಗ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಸಾಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಸಬಾರದು.

25 But if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the king; hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death; also what the king said unto thee:ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತಾಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನೀನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡದೆ ತಿಳಿಸು; ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅರಸನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತಾ ಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಿಳಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ--

26 then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಯೋನಾತಾನನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗ ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿನ್ನಹ ಮಾಡಿದೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.

27 Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅವನು ಅರಸನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು; ಆಗ ಅವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದರು; ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯ ವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the guard until the day that Jerusalem was taken.ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೆರೂ ಸಲೇಮು ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ದಿವಸದ ವರೆಗೆ ಯೆರೆ ವಿಾಯನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾ ಗಿದ್ದನು; ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಡುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
