Jeremiah 5:22
ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡುಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಸಮುದ್ರವು ದಾಟಕೂಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮರಳನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯ ನೇಮಕದಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮೇರೆಯಾಗಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅದರ ತೆರೆಗಳು ಎದ್ದರೂ ದಡ ವಿಾರಲಾರವು, ಘೋಷಿಸಿ ದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ದಾಟಲಾರವು.

| of the sea | חוֹל֙ | ḥôl | hole |
| by a perpetual | גְּב֣וּל | gĕbûl | ɡeh-VOOL |
| decree, | לַיָּ֔ם | layyām | la-YAHM |
| that it cannot | חָק | ḥāq | hahk |
| pass | עוֹלָ֖ם | ʿôlām | oh-LAHM |
| waves the though and it: | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| thereof toss themselves, | יַעַבְרֶ֑נְהוּ | yaʿabrenhû | ya-av-REN-hoo |
| not they can yet | וַיִּֽתְגָּעֲשׁוּ֙ | wayyitĕggāʿăšû | va-yee-teh-ɡa-uh-SHOO |
| prevail; | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| though they roar, | יוּכָ֔לוּ | yûkālû | yoo-HA-loo |
