ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಮಕ್ಕೇದವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅದನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅದರ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ತಾನು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಕ್ಕೇದದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
