ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಮಾಡಿ ಬಾಳನನ್ನೂ ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತನ್ನೂ ಸಿರಿಯಾ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಚೀದೋನಿನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿ ಸದೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರು.
