ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವೆನೆಂದು ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಎಸೆದನು. ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಅವನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
