ನನ್ನ ಯಜ್ಞ ವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ಕಡಿದು ಬಿಡದ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ವೇದನೆಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವ ರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಾದಾಗಲೇ ಸಾಯುವರು.

| grieve to and | עֵינֶ֖יךָ | ʿênêkā | ay-NAY-ha |
| וְלַֽאֲדִ֣יב | wĕlaʾădîb | veh-la-uh-DEEV | |
| thine heart: | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| and all | נַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ | napšekā | nahf-SHEH-ha |
| the increase | וְכָל | wĕkāl | veh-HAHL |
| house thine of | מַרְבִּ֥ית | marbît | mahr-BEET |
| shall die | בֵּֽיתְךָ֖ | bêtĕkā | bay-teh-HA |
| in the flower of their age. | יָמ֥וּתוּ | yāmûtû | ya-MOO-too |
| אֲנָשִֽׁים׃ | ʾănāšîm | uh-na-SHEEM |
