ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದೆನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವ ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮನೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಈ ದಿನ ಬಂದೆನು ಅಂದನು.

ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಿ--ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರು ಗಳ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನು ಅರಸನೇ; ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ದವನೂ ಅವನೇ.

ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಹುರೀಮಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಸೌಲನ ಗೋತ್ರದವನಾದಂಥ ಗೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶಿಮ್ಮಿಯೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ದೂಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನಡೆದು ಬಂದನು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವ ದಿಸಿ--ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವದು. ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.

ತಾವು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ವರೆಗೂ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು, ಅವರ ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ಹುಡುಕುವರು.
