Genesis 22:3
ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ತಡಿಹಾಕಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಯುವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಸಾಕನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ದಹನಬಲಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡಿಸಿ ಎದ್ದು ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.

ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀರಿನ ತಿತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಾಗರಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕೆಯ ಹೆಗಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿ ಆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಹೋಗಿ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವವ ಳಾದಳು.

ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲ ನನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತಾನು ಹಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗಂಡಸರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಆ ದಿನವೇ ಸುನ್ನತಿಮಾಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದನು.
