Genesis 29:33
ಮತ್ತೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತು--ನಾನು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಕೇಳಿ ಇವನನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.

ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 30:6
ರಾಹೇಲಳು--ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮೊರೆ ಕೇಳಿ ನನಗೆ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಾನ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.
ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 30:8
ಆಗ ರಾಹೇಲಳು--ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಹೋರಾಟ ಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಜಯಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನಫ್ತಾಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.

ಆಗ ಲೇಯಳು--ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.

ಲೇಯಳು--ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಬಳುವಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಈಗ ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆರು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಗಂಡನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾಸಿಸುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಜೆಬುಲೂನ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.

ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನಿಗೂ ಲೇವಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರಿಗೂ ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಪಡಿ ಸಿದಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಂದಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು, ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರು. ಆಗ ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವೆವು ಅಂದನು.

ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಯಳ ಕುಮಾರರು: ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನಾದ ರೂಬೇನನು ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ಲೇವಿಯು ಯೆಹೂದನು ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನು ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಬೂಲೂನನು.
