Proverbs 19:25
ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಮೂಢರು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ವಿವೇಕಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ದರೆ ಅವನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವನು.

ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡುವವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಬೇಡ. ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.

ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ವಿವೇಕಿಯು ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು;

ನಾನು ಯಾರಾರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಆಸಕ್ತನಾಗಿರು; ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡು.
