ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಆಕಾಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು--ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನೇ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನೇ ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವನು--ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆಗ ದೇವದೂತನು ಆಕಾಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹಾಗರಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಹಾಗರಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ವ್ಯಥೆಯೇನು? ಅಂಜಬೇಡ; ದೇವರು ಹುಡುಗನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಅವನು ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಆಗ ಅವನು --ಹುಡಗನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಬೇಡ; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ನೀನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯ ಪಡುತ್ತೀಯೆಂದು ಈಗ ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಮಗನನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 22:1
ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನೇ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು --ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
