Genesis 8:22
ಭೂಮಿಯು ಇರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತುವ ಕಾಲವೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವ ಕಾಲವೂ ತಂಪೂ ಶೆಕೆಯೂ ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯೂ ಚಳಿಗಾಲವೂ ಹಗಲೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೂ ನಿಂತು ಹೋಗವು ಎಂದು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡನು.

ಈ ಎರಡು ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಾಮವಿತ್ತು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಐದು ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತುವದೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವದೂ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 34:21
ಆರು ದಿನಗಳು ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿ ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಬಿತ್ತುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ (ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ) ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
