ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು--ಈಗ ನೀನು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಶಕ್ತನಾದರೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸು ಅಂದನು. ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಆಗುವದು ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
