ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ಉಪವಾಸವಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನವರು ಯಾಕೆ ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
