Matthew 17:9
ಅವರು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ಈ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಆದರೆ ಎಲೀಯನು ಆಗಲೇ ಬಂದನು. ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದೆ ತಮಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟಬಂದಂತೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಯಿತು. ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರ ನು ಸಹ ಅವರಿಂದ ಶ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವನು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ ನೋಡು; ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಯಾಜಕನಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
