ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರ ರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರ್ನಿಗೂ ಈತಾಮಾರ್ನಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ಸಾಯದಂತೆಯೂ ಕೋಪವು ಜನ ರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾರದಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಉರಿಸಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉರಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸಹೋದರರಾಗಿರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆ ತನದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಗೋಳಾಡಲಿ.

Joshua 7:1
1 ಯೆಹೂದ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಜೆರಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಜಬ್ದೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕರ್ವಿಾಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಕಾನನು ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೀಡಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೀಡಾದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಾದರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಯಹತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು (ಲೇವಿಯರು) ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Exodus 33:5
ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ನೀವು ಬಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನರು, ನಾನು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೋ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳು ವಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಬಿಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.
