Mark 12 - BBE (Kannada)

1 And he gave them teaching in the form of stories. A man had a vine-garden planted, and put a wall about it, and made a place for crushing out the wine, and put up a tower, and let it out to field-workers, and went into another country.ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು. ಒಬ್ಬಾ ನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಒಂದು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಬೇಲಿಹಾಕಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯ ಅಲೆಗಾಗಿ ಅಗೆದು ಗೋಪುರ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರಿಗೆ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.

2 And when the time came, he sent a servant to get from the workmen some of the fruit of the garden.ಫಲದ ಕಾಲ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗ ರಿಂದ ಪಡೆಯುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸೇವಕ ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

3 And they took him, and gave him blows, and sent him away with nothing.ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೊಡೆದು ಬರಿದಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

4 And again he sent to them another servant; and they gave him wounds on the head, and were very cruel to him.ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆದು ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಗಾಯಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವಮಾನದಿಂದ ವರ್ತಿಸಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

5 And he sent another; and they put him to death: and a number of others, whipping some, and putting some to death.ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದರು. ಇನ್ನೂ ಆನೇಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವ ರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರು; ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದರು.

6 He still had one, a dearly loved son: he sent him last to them, saying, They will have respect for my son.ಕಡೆಯದಾಗಿ ತನಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಮಗನಿರಲಾಗಿ--ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗಾದರೂ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಾರು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

7 But those workmen said among themselves, This is he who will one day be the owner of the property; come, let us put him to death, and the heritage will be ours.ಆದರೆ ಆ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು--ಇವನೇ ಬಾದ್ಯಸ್ಥನು; ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಇವನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕೋಣ; ಆಗ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವು ನಮ್ಮದಾ ಗುವದು ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

8 And they took him and put him to death, pushing his body out of the garden.ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಿದರು.

9 What then will the master of the garden do? He will come and put the workmen to death, and will give the garden into the hands of others.ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟದ ದಣಿಯು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿಯಾನು? ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಆ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರಮಾಡಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟವನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.

10 Have you not seen this which is in the Writings: The stone which the builders put on one side, the same was made the chief stone of the building:ಕಟ್ಟುವವರು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ಕಲ್ಲೇ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲಾಯಿತು.

11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is a wonder in our eyes?ಇದು ಕರ್ತನ ಕೆಲಸವೇ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂಬ ಈ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಓದಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

12 And they made attempts to take him; but they were in fear of the people, because they saw that the story was against them; and they went away from him.ಆಗ ಆತನು ತಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನೆಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ನೋಡಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿದರು. ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.

13 Then they sent to him certain of the Pharisees and the Herodians, so that they might make use of his words to take him by a trick.ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆರೋದ್ಯ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

14 And when they had come, they said to him, Master, we are certain that you are true, and have no fear of anyone: you have no respect for a man's position, but you are teaching the true way of God: Is it right to give taxes to Caesar or not?ಅವರು ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ನೀನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನೂ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದವನೂ ಎಂದು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ಮಾಡದೆ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೀ; ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಕಪ್ಪಕೊಡುವದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೋ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲವೋ?

15 Are we to give or not to give? But he, conscious of their false hearts, said to them, Why do you put me to the test? give me a penny, so that I may see it.ನಾವು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೊಡಬಾರದೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕಪಟವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಶೋಧಿ ಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

16 And they gave him one. And he said to them, Whose is this image and name on it? And they said to him, Caesar's.ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ತಂದಾಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಇದರ ರೂಪವು ಮತ್ತು ಮೇಲ್ಬರಹವು ಯಾರದು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕೈಸರನದು ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

17 And Jesus said to them, Give to Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and to God the things which are God's. And they were full of wonder at him.ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಸರನಿಗೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಆತನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

18 And there came to him Sadducees, who say there is no coming back from the dead; and they put a question to him, saying,ತರುವಾಯ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

19 Master, in the law Moses says, If a man's brother comes to his end, and has a wife still living and no child, it is right for his brother to take his wife, and get a family for his brother.ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ಬರೆದಿರು ತ್ತಾನಷ್ಟೆ.

20 There were seven brothers: and the first took a wife, and at his death there were no offspring;ಈಗ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿದ್ದರು; ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತನು.

21 And the second took her, and at his death there were no offspring; and the third the same:ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡನೆಯವನೂ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತನು; ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮೂರನೆಯವನೂ ಆದನು.

22 And all the seven had no seed. Last of all the woman herself came to her death.ಹೀಗೆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವಿಲ್ಲದವ ರಾದರು; ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೂ ಸತ್ತಳು.

23 In the future life, when they come back from the dead, whose wife will she be? for the seven had her for a wife.ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯು ಯಾರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿರುವಳು? ಆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಗೂ ಆಕೆಯು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರು.

24 Jesus said to them, Is not this the reason for your error, that you have no knowledge of the holy Writings or of the power of God?ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಬರಹಗಳನ್ನಾದರೂ ದೇವರಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲವೋ?

25 When they come back from the dead, they do not get married, but are like the angels in heaven.ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ಅವರು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡು ವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೂತರಂತೆ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

26 But as to the dead coming back to life; have you not seen in the book of Moses, about the burning thorn-tree, how God said to him, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?ಸತ್ತವರು ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ--ನಾನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರು, ಇಸಾಕನ ದೇವರು, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರು ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಓದಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living: you are greatly in error.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಜೀವಿತರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

28 And one of the scribes came, and hearing their argument together, and seeing that he had given them a good answer, put the question to him, Which law is the first of all?ಆಗ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು ಅವರು ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ತರ್ಕಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಆತನಿಗೆ --ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೈವಾಜ್ಞೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು ಯಾವದು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

29 Jesus said in answer, The first is, Give ear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord;ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೈವಾಜ್ಞೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು -- ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ಕೇಳು; ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

30 And you are to have love for the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು; ಇದು ಮೊದ ಲನೆಯ ದೈವಾಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

31 The second is this, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself. There is no other law greater than these.ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯ ವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದು ಅದರಂ ತೆಯೇ ಇರುವ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವುಗಳಿ ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ದೈವಾಜ್ಞೆಯು ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

32 And the scribe said to him, Truly, Master, you have well said that he is one, and there is no other but he:ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ --ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಒಳ್ಳೇದು. ನೀನು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ; ಆತನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

33 And to have love for him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the strength, and to have the same love for his neighbour as for himself, is much more than all forms of offerings.ಆತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸು ವದು ಸಕಲ ದಹನ ಬಲಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿದೆ ಅಂದನು.

34 And when Jesus saw that he gave a wise answer, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And every man after that was in fear of questioning him any more.ಅವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಯಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ಕಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ --ನೀನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾದವನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗಾದರೂ ಧೈರ್ಯವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

35 And Jesus, when he was teaching in the Temple, said, How do the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?ಯೇಸು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ-- ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನಕುಮಾರನು ಎಂದು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಹೇಳುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?

36 David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said to my Lord, Be seated at my right hand, till I put those who are against you under your feet.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನೇ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ -- ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದಪೀಠವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವತನಕ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿರು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

37 David himself gives him the name of Lord; and how then is he his son? And the common people gave ear to him gladly.ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನೇ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತ ನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುವಾಗ ಆತನು ಅವನ ಮಗನಾಗುವದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರು ಸಂತೋ ಷದಿಂದ ಆತನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

38 And in his teaching he said, Be on your watch against the scribes, whose pleasure it is to go about in long robes and be respected in the market-places,ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಬೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ --ಉದ್ದವಾದ ಅಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಸಂತೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ

39 And to have the chief seats in the Synagogues and the first places at feasts;ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ;

40 Who take away the property of widows, and before the eyes of men make long prayers; these will be judged more hardly.ಇವರು ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿ ನಟನೆಗಾಗಿ ಉದ್ದವಾದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇಂಥವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು ಅಂದನು.

41 And he took a seat by the place where the money was kept, and saw how the people put money into the boxes: and a number who had wealth put in much.ಯೇಸು ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ಜನರು ಹೇಗೆ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾ ರೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಅನೇಕ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು.

42 And there came a poor widow, and she put in two little bits of money, which make a farthing.ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬಡ ವಿಧವೆಯು ಬಂದು ಒಂದು ಫಾರ್ದಿಂಗದಷ್ಟು ಎರಡು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದಳು.

43 And he made his disciples come to him, and said to them, Truly I say to you, This poor widow has put in more than all those who are putting money into the box:ಆಗ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ-- ಈ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತ ಈ ಬಡ ವಿಧವೆಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

44 Because they all put in something out of what they had no need for; but she out of her need put in all she had, even all her living.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಈಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವನವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಅಂದನು.
