Psalm 8 in Kannada

1 ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದೀ.

2 ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನೂ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಕೊಡುವವನನ್ನೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಶಿಶುಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಲೆ ಕೂಸುಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀ.

3 ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವಾದ ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ ಚಂದ್ರ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಆಲೋ ಚಿಸುವಾಗ

4 ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೆನಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು? ಅವನನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಗನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು?

5 ಅವನನ್ನು ದೂತರಿಗಿಂತ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನೂ ಘನವನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.

6 ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ;

7 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೌದು, ಅಡವಿಯ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನೂ

8 ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ವಿಾನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವಂಥದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀ.

9 ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ.

2 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

3 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

4 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

5 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

6 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

7 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

8 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

9 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

10 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

நான் வானத்தில் இருந்து கேட்ட சத்தம் மீண்டும் என்னோடு பேசி: கடலின்மேலும் பூமியின்மேலும் நிற்கிற தூதனுடைய கையில் இருக்கும் திறக்கப்பட்ட சிறிய புத்தகத்தை நீ போய் வாங்கிக்கொள் என்று சொல்ல,

மீண்டும் அதே குரலை நான் பரலோகத்திலிருந்து கேட்டேன். அக்குரல் என்னிடம், “போ, அத்தூதன் கையில் உள்ள திறந்திருக்கும் தோல் சுருளை வாங்கிக்கொள். கடலிலும், பூமியிலும் நிற்கிற தூதனே இவன்” என்றது.
