യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:--അവനല്ലോ ആദ്യജാതൻ; എങ്കിലും അവൻ തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ശയ്യയെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കു ലഭിച്ചു; വംശാവലി ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശപ്രകാരം എണ്ണുവാനുള്ളതുമല്ല.
