അവൻ അഞ്ചുമുഴം പൊക്കമുള്ള ദീർഘകായനായോരു മിസ്രയീമ്യനെയും സംഹരിച്ചു; ആ മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നെയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ പടപ്പുതടിപോലെ ഒരു കുന്തം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇവനോ ഒരു വടിയുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു കുന്തം പിടിച്ചു പറിച്ചു കുന്തംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

five חָמֵ֣שׁ ḥāmēš ha-MAYSH
cubits בָּֽאַמָּ֗ה ʾammâ ah-MA
hand וּבְיַ֨ד yād yahd
high; and in the Egyptian's הַמִּצְרִ֤י miṣrî meets-REE
a spear חֲנִית֙ ḥănît huh-NEET
beam; כִּמְנ֣וֹר mānôr ma-NORE
like a weaver's אֹֽרְגִ֔ים ʾārag ah-RAHɡ
and he went down וַיֵּ֥רֶד yārad ya-RAHD
to אֵלָ֖יו ʾēl ale
him with a staff, בַּשָּׁ֑בֶט šēbeṭ shay-VET
and plucked וַיִּגְזֹ֤ל gāzal ɡa-ZAHL
אֶֽת ʾēt ate
the spear הַחֲנִית֙ ḥănît huh-NEET
hand, מִיַּ֣ד yād yahd
out of the Egyptian's הַמִּצְרִ֔י miṣrî meets-REE
and slew וַיַּֽהַרְגֵ֖הוּ hārag ha-RAHɡ
him with his own spear. בַּֽחֲנִיתֽוֹ׃ ḥănît huh-NEET
