യെബൂസ് നിവാസികൾ ദാവീദിനോടു: നീ ഇവിടെ കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും ദാവീദ് സീയോൻ കോട്ട പിടിച്ചു; അതു ആകുന്നു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരം.

to David, לְדָוִ֔יד dāwid da-VEED
Thou shalt not לֹ֥א lōʾ loh
come תָב֖וֹא bôʾ boh
hither. הֵ֑נָּה hēnnâ hay-NA
took וַיִּלְכֹּ֤ד lākad la-HAHD
Nevertheless David דָּוִיד֙ dāwid da-VEED
אֶת ʾēt ate
the castle מְצֻדַ֣ת māṣûd ma-TSOOD
of Zion, צִיּ֔וֹן ṣiyyôn tsee-YONE
which הִ֖יא hûʾ hoo
the city עִ֥יר ʿîr eer
of David. דָּוִֽיד׃ dāwid da-VEED
