യബ്ബേസ് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു: നീ എന്നെ നിശ്ചയമായി അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു എന്റെ അതിർ വിസ്താരമാക്കുകയും നിന്റെ കൈ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു അനർത്ഥം എനിക്കു വ്യസനകാരണമായി തീരാതവണ്ണം എന്നെ കാക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അവൻ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതിനെ ദൈവം അവന്നു നല്കി.

on the God לֵֽאלֹהֵ֨י ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
of Israel, יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל yiśrāʾēl yees-ra-ALE
saying, לֵאמֹ֗ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Oh that אִם ʾim eem
thou wouldest bless בָּרֵ֨ךְ bārak ba-RAHK
me indeed, תְּבָרֲכֵ֜נִי bārak ba-RAHK
and enlarge וְהִרְבִּ֤יתָ rābâ ra-VA
אֶת ʾēt ate
my coast, גְּבוּלִי֙ gĕbûl ɡeh-VOOL
might be וְהָֽיְתָ֤ה hāyâ ha-YA
and that thine hand יָֽדְךָ֙ yād yahd
with עִמִּ֔י ʿim eem
me, and that thou wouldest keep וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ ʿāśâ ah-SA
from evil, מֵּֽרָעָ֖ה raʿ ra
that it may not לְבִלְתִּ֣י biltî beel-TEE
grieve עָצְבִּ֑י ʿāṣab ah-TSAHV
granted וַיָּבֵ֥א bôʾ boh
me! And God אֱלֹהִ֖ים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
him אֵ֥ת ʾēt ate
that which אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer uh-SHER
he requested. שָׁאָֽל׃ šāʾal sha-AL
