ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നീ വാളും കുന്തവും വേലുമായി എന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്നു; ഞാനോ നീ നിന്ദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള യിസ്രായേൽനിരകളുടെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ നിന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്നു.

comest בָּ֣א bôʾ boh
to אֵלַ֔י ʾēl ale
me with a sword, בְּחֶ֖רֶב ḥereb heh-REV
and with a spear, וּבַֽחֲנִ֣ית ḥănît huh-NEET
and with a shield: וּבְכִיד֑וֹן kîdôn kee-DONE
but I וְאָֽנֹכִ֣י ʾānōkî ah-noh-HEE
come בָֽא bôʾ boh
to אֵלֶ֗יךָ ʾēl ale
thee in the name בְּשֵׁם֙ šēm shame
of the Lord יְהוָ֣ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
of hosts, צְבָא֔וֹת ṣābāʾ tsa-VA
the God אֱלֹהֵ֛י ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
of the armies מַֽעַרְכ֥וֹת maʿărākâ ma-uh-ra-HA
of Israel, יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yiśrāʾēl yees-ra-ALE
whom אֲשֶׁ֥ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
thou hast defied. חֵרַֽפְתָּ׃ ḥārap ha-RAHF
