നിങ്ങൾ പട്ടണത്തോടു ഇത്ര അടുത്തുചെന്നു പടവെട്ടിയതു എന്തു? മതിലിന്മേൽ നിന്നു അവർ എയ്യുമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടയോ?

| unto thee, Wherefore | לְךָ֔ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| nigh so ye approached | מַדּ֛וּעַ | maddûaʿ | MA-doo-ah |
| unto | נִגַּשְׁתֶּ֥ם | niggaštem | nee-ɡahsh-TEM |
| the city | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| when ye did fight? | הָעִ֖יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| knew | לְהִלָּחֵ֑ם | lĕhillāḥēm | leh-hee-la-HAME |
| ye not | הֲל֣וֹא | hălôʾ | huh-LOH |
| that | יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם | yĕdaʿtem | yeh-da-TEM |
| they would shoot | אֵ֥ת | ʾēt | ate |
| from | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| the wall? | יֹר֖וּ | yōrû | yoh-ROO |
