അവിടെനിന്നു വിവേകവതിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വരുത്തി അവളോടു: മരിച്ചുപോയവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഏറിയനാളായിട്ടു ദുഃഖിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഭാര്യയുടെ ഭാവത്തിൽ നീ ദുഃഖംനടിച്ചും ദുഃഖവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും തൈലം പൂശാതെയും

and fetched וַיִּקַּ֥ח lāqaḥ la-KAHK
thence מִשָּׁ֖ם šām shahm
woman, אִשָּׁ֣ה ʾiššâ ee-SHA
a wise חֲכָמָ֑ה ḥākām ha-HAHM
and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
unto אֵ֠לֶיהָ ʾēl ale
feign thyself to be a mourner, הִֽתְאַבְּלִי ʾābal ah-VAHL
her, I pray thee, נָ֞א nāʾ na
and put on וְלִבְשִׁי lābaš la-VAHSH
now נָ֣א nāʾ na
apparel, בִגְדֵי beged beh-ɡED
mourning אֵ֗בֶל ʾēbel ay-VEL
not וְאַל ʾal al
and anoint תָּס֙וּכִי֙ sûk sook
thyself with oil, שֶׁ֔מֶן šemen sheh-MEN
but be וְהָיִ֕ית hāyâ ha-YA
as a woman כְּאִשָּׁ֗ה ʾiššâ ee-SHA
that זֶ֚ה ze zeh
time יָמִ֣ים yôm yome
had a long רַבִּ֔ים rab rahv
mourned מִתְאַבֶּ֖לֶת ʾābal ah-VAHL
for עַל ʿal al
the dead: מֵֽת׃ mût moot
