ശൌലിന്റെ മകനായ ഈശ്-ബോശെത്ത് യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജാവായപ്പോൾ അവന്നു നാല്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം വാണു. യെഹൂദാഗൃഹമോ ദാവീദിനോടു ചേർന്നുനിന്നു.
