ശൌലിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാഥാന്റെ മകൻ മെഫീബോശെത്ത് ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു. ദാവീദ്: മെഫീബോശെത്തേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചതിന്നു അടിയൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

David, דָּוִ֔ד dāwid da-VEED
he fell וַיִּפֹּ֥ל nāpal na-FAHL
on עַל ʿal al
his face, פָּנָ֖יו pānîm pa-NEEM
and did reverence. וַיִּשְׁתָּ֑חוּ šāḥâ sha-HA
said, וַיֹּ֤אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
And David דָּוִד֙ dāwid da-VEED
Mephibosheth. מְפִיבֹ֔שֶׁת mĕpîbōšet meh-fee-voh-SHET
And he answered, וַיֹּ֖אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Behold הִנֵּ֥ה hinnē hee-NAY
thy servant! עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ ʿebed eh-VED
