ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലേ, നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റവും വർദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നീ കേട്ടു ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്ക.

Hear	וְשָֽׁמַעְתָּ֤	šāmaʿ	sha-MA
therefore, O Israel,	יִשְׂרָאֵל֙	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
and observe	וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ֣	šāmar	sha-MAHR
to do	לַֽעֲשׂ֔וֹת	ʿāśâ	ah-SA
that	אֲשֶׁר֙	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
it may be well	יִיטַ֣ב	yāṭab	ya-TAHV
	לְךָ֔
with thee, and that	וַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
ye may increase	תִּרְבּ֖וּן	rābâ	ra-VA
mightily,	מְאֹ֑ד	mĕʾōd	meh-ODE
as	כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֩	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
hath promised	דִּבֶּ֨ר	dābar	da-VAHR
the Lord	יְהוָ֜ה	yĕhōwâ	yeh-hoh-VA
God	אֱלֹהֵ֤י	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
of thy fathers	אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙	ʾāb	av
	לָ֔ךְ
thee, in the land	אֶ֛רֶץ	ʾereṣ	eh-RETS
that floweth	זָבַ֥ת	zûb	zoov
with milk	חָלָ֖ב	ḥālāb	ha-LAHV
and honey.	וּדְבָֽשׁ׃	dĕbaš	deh-VAHSH
