Ecclesiastes 2:17
അങ്ങനെ സൂര്യന്നു കീഴെ നടക്കുന്ന കാര്യം എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ജീവനെ വെറുത്തു; എല്ലാം മായയും വൃഥാപ്രയത്നവും അത്രേ.

| sun the | שֶׁנַּעֲשָׂ֖ה | šennaʿăśâ | sheh-na-uh-SA |
| is grievous | תַּ֣חַת | taḥat | TA-haht |
| unto | הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ | haššāmeš | ha-SHA-mesh |
| me: for | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| all | הַכֹּ֥ל | hakkōl | ha-KOLE |
| is vanity | הֶ֖בֶל | hebel | HEH-vel |
| and vexation | וּרְע֥וּת | ûrĕʿût | oo-reh-OOT |
