Exodus 13:5
എന്നാൽ കനാന്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, അമോർയ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശമായി യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുമെന്നു നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതും പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്നതുമായ ദേശത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നശേഷം നീ ഈ മാസത്തിൽ ഈ കർമ്മം ആചരിക്കേണം.

| and the Hittites, | וְהַֽחִתִּ֨י | wĕhaḥittî | veh-ha-hee-TEE |
| Amorites, the and | וְהָֽאֱמֹרִ֜י | wĕhāʾĕmōrî | veh-ha-ay-moh-REE |
| and the Hivites, | וְהַֽחִוִּ֣י | wĕhaḥiwwî | veh-ha-hee-WEE |
| Jebusites, the and | וְהַיְבוּסִ֗י | wĕhaybûsî | veh-hai-voo-SEE |
| which | אֲשֶׁ֨ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| he sware | נִשְׁבַּ֤ע | nišbaʿ | neesh-BA |
| unto thy fathers | לַֽאֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ | laʾăbōtêkā | la-uh-voh-TAY-HA |

| thee, a land | לָ֔ךְ | lāk | lahk |

| and honey, | חָלָ֖ב | ḥālāb | ha-LAHV |
| keep shalt thou that | וּדְבָ֑שׁ | ûdĕbāš | oo-deh-VAHSH |
| וְעָֽבַדְתָּ֛ | wĕʿābadtā | veh-ah-vahd-TA | |

| service | הָֽעֲבֹדָ֥ה | hāʿăbōdâ | ha-uh-voh-DA |
