Exodus 3:4
നോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ വരുന്നതു യഹോവ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ദൈവം മുൾപടർപ്പിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു അവനെ മോശേ, മോശെ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

| God | וַיִּקְרָא֩ | wayyiqrāʾ | va-yeek-RA |
| called | אֵלָ֨יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
| unto | אֱלֹהִ֜ים | ʾĕlōhîm | ay-loh-HEEM |
| midst the of out him | מִתּ֣וֹךְ | mittôk | MEE-toke |
| of the bush, | הַסְּנֶ֗ה | hassĕne | ha-seh-NEH |
| and said, | וַיֹּ֛אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| Moses, | מֹשֶׁ֥ה | mōše | moh-SHEH |
