Ezekiel 20:8
അവരോ എന്നോടു മത്സരിച്ചു, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ ഇരുന്നു; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും തന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മുമ്പിൽ ഇരുന്ന മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളകയോ മിസ്രയീമ്യബിംബങ്ങളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല; ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽവെച്ചു എന്റെ ക്രോധം അവരുടെമേൽ പകർന്നു എന്റെ കോപം അവരിൽ നിവർത്തിക്കും എന്നും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

| שִׁקּוּצֵ֤י | šiqqûṣê | shee-koo-TSAY | |
| the abominations | עֵֽינֵיהֶם֙ | ʿênêhem | ay-nay-HEM |
| eyes, their of | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| neither | הִשְׁלִ֔יכוּ | hišlîkû | heesh-LEE-hoo |
| did they forsake | וְאֶת | wĕʾet | veh-ET |
| idols the | גִּלּוּלֵ֥י | gillûlê | ɡee-loo-LAY |
| of Egypt: | מִצְרַ֖יִם | miṣrayim | meets-RA-yeem |
| then I said, | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| out pour will I | עָזָ֑בוּ | ʿāzābû | ah-ZA-voo |
| my fury | וָאֹמַ֞ר | wāʾōmar | va-oh-MAHR |
| upon | לִשְׁפֹּ֧ךְ | lišpōk | leesh-POKE |
| accomplish to them, | חֲמָתִ֣י | ḥămātî | huh-ma-TEE |
| my anger | עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם | ʿălêhem | uh-lay-HEM |
| midst the in them against | לְכַלּ֤וֹת | lĕkallôt | leh-HA-lote |
| of the land | אַפִּי֙ | ʾappiy | ah-PEE |
