Genesis 1:30
ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പറവകൾക്കും ഭൂമിയിൽ ചരിക്കുന്ന സകല ഭൂചരജന്തുക്കൾക്കും ആഹാരമായിട്ടു പച്ചസസ്യം ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചു.

| of the air, | הַשָּׁמַ֜יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| and to every thing | וּלְכֹ֣ל׀ | ûlĕkōl | oo-leh-HOLE |
| that creepeth | רוֹמֵ֣שׂ | rômēś | roh-MASE |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the earth, | הָאָ֗רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| wherein | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| there is life, | בּוֹ֙ | bô | boh |
| נֶ֣פֶשׁ | nepeš | NEH-fesh | |
given have I | חַיָּ֔ה | ḥayyâ | ha-YA |
| every | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| green | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| herb | יֶ֥רֶק | yereq | YEH-rek |
| meat: for | עֵ֖שֶׂב | ʿēśeb | A-sev |
| and it was | לְאָכְלָ֑ה | lĕʾoklâ | leh-oke-LA |
| so. | וַֽיְהִי | wayhî | VA-hee |
| כֵֽן׃ | kēn | hane |
