Genesis 1:9
ദൈവം: ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ള വെള്ളം ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തു കൂടട്ടെ; ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലം കാണട്ടെ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചു.

| said, | אֱלֹהִ֗ים | ʾĕlōhîm | ay-loh-HEEM |
| Let the waters | יִקָּו֨וּ | yiqqāwû | yee-ka-VOO |
| under | הַמַּ֜יִם | hammayim | ha-MA-yeem |
| the heaven | מִתַּ֤חַת | mittaḥat | mee-TA-haht |
| be gathered together | הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-YEEM |
| unto | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| one | מָק֣וֹם | māqôm | ma-KOME |
| place, | אֶחָ֔ד | ʾeḥād | eh-HAHD |
| and let the dry | וְתֵרָאֶ֖ה | wĕtērāʾe | veh-tay-ra-EH |
| appear: land | הַיַּבָּשָׁ֑ה | hayyabbāšâ | ha-ya-ba-SHA |
| and it was | וַֽיְהִי | wayhî | VA-hee |
| so. | כֵֽן׃ | kēn | hane |
